What are the payslip components?
We follow the two most commonly used payslip components in Indonesia.
The fixed wages that employers must pay within a specified period for the work results of their employees. Basic salary does not include additional components such as bonuses, allowances, commissions, overtime pay, or benefits.
Compensation paid to accommodate business activities outside regular working hours, in accordance with government regulations and agreements with employees. The process typically begins with an overtime request from the employee, which is then approved by the employer.
Additional components provided to support employee productivity, such as travel expenses, lunch, clothing, or internet usage. Daily allowances are typically given based on the attendance or presence record of employees during a specific period.

A salary deduction component used to support the national health insurance program. Presidential Regulation Number 75 of 2019 states that BPJS Health contributions amount to 5% of the employee’s monthly salary.
Similar to other BPJS programs, the Pension Security is a contribution-based salary deduction. Currently, the rate is set at 3% of the employee’s income.
A part of the BPJS Employment program that provides protection when a participant reaches retirement, suffers total disability, or passes away. The contribution is approximately 5.7% of the employee’s wage.
A component of the BPJS Employment program that offers protection when a participant experiences a work-related accident. The contribution is about 0.24% of the employee’s wage.
A part of the BPJS Employment program that provides a cash benefit, typically given to the employee’s heirs. According to government regulations, the contribution is 0.3% of the employee’s wage per month.
Many companies provide benefits in the form of loans to employees, with a salary deduction scheme for repayment. The amount of the deduction often varies depending on the agreement at each company.
If an overpayment occurs by the employer, the deduction will be made in the following payroll period.
